Midjourney API without Discord

Two ways to generate

Both use one API key and the same endpoints, including POST /midjourney/v2/imagine. The difference is who pays Midjourney and whose account does the work.

The API call

The request is the usual one. Leave out account_hash and the task runs on UserAPI Cloud when your key has Cloud tokens and no paid Discord account of its own.

Poll the status or wait for the webhook as with any task. A Cloud task has cloud: true and an empty account_hash:

Prices

Cloud is paid in tokens. One Imagine costs 100 tokens. The current price is $0.80 per 1,000 tokens, which is 60% off $2.00. Tokens you have already bought keep their value if the price changes: a new price applies to the next purchase, not to the balance.

The minimum payment is $8. With the 60% discount that is 10,000 tokens, or 100 Imagine generations. At the full price the same $8 buys 40. If a task ends in error, the reserved tokens are returned.

When your own account costs less

Cloud is for getting started without a Midjourney subscription. Above a few hundred images a month, a Midjourney plan of your own plus $0.04 per request is usually cheaper. At 900 Imagine tasks a month, Midjourney Standard at $30 plus our API comes to $66. The same 900 on Cloud is $72 with the 60% discount and $180 at the full price. Upscales are extra in both cases. For that volume, add your own Discord account.

What is available

• Imagine, variation, reroll, zoom, pan, inpaint, blend, upscale, upsample, describe and seed.
• Animate (video) is not available on Cloud.
• --turbo, --relax and --fast are removed from the prompt. Cloud runs in fast mode: relax can wait a long time on a shared account, and turbo spends the fast time twice as fast.
• The prompt check stays on and cannot be disabled for Cloud.
• The API response has cloud: true and does not include the Discord account the image ran on.

Which account a request uses

An account you already connected keeps taking your requests. Nothing is moved to Cloud on its own.

• account_hash is set: the request runs on that Discord account of yours.
• The API key has a Discord account that is active and paid for: the request runs there, as before.
• There is no such account, and Cloud tokens have been bought: the request runs on UserAPI Cloud.

An action on a Cloud image (upscale, variation, zoom and the rest) stays on Cloud and is priced from the table above.

Getting started

1. Register. The API key is created automatically.
2. In the dashboard open UserAPI Cloud and buy tokens. The minimum is $8.
3. Call imagine without account_hash. Code to copy from is here: Python, Node.js and PHP.
